Michael Mirilashvili has spent much of his life giving to worthy causes. Based in both Russia Israel, while he has shown significant success in the real estate (building malls), renewable energy and petroleum industries, he also spends much of his time focused on charitable endeavors.
Aside from sizable donations, Michael Mirilashvili gives of his time in the philanthropical world. He is President of the Saint Petersburg Jewish Congress, Chairman of the International Board of Trustees of ZAKA, VP of the Russian Jewish Congress, was the first VP of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, President of the Maccabi Union and the “Torah and Chessed” Center for Jews in Georgia.
He has made donations – with his family – to the Migdalor Association, “a multi-service center, specializing in functional and vocational rehabilitation of the visually impaired or blind people.” Together with Alexander Mashkevitch, Mirilashvili created a fleet of fire-fighting vehicles to respond to the emergency Carmel fire crisis. He also provided the planes needed for the doctors and paramedics who rushed to provide life-saving assistance to the Burges terror victims.
Mirilashvili continues to work toward assisting those in need as well as strengthening ties between Jews from CIS countries and Israel.
